Now that you’re here, the best thing you can do is look around and get a good idea about where everything is:

• Dashboard: This is where you go to set up your profile, but it’s also where you can see everything at a glance, including what course you’re currently working on and how far along you are. There’s even a link to the Apex Facebook group where most of us are at.
• Forums: There are plenty of safe spaces for healthy discussion and debate on Apex’s forums.
• Groups: There are several writers with lots of interests at Apex. Here, you can join communities that share common likes and dislikes, and discuss what you’ve learned in the courses and seminars. Be sure to join the Apex Announcements and Updates!
• Courses: David Farland is amassing a huge library of courses you can take when you’re not writing. Everything from Promising Starts to Writing Enchanting Prose – including 100+ lessons and assignments to complete.
• Seminars: These are lessons that are shorter than courses but cover a variety of topics.
• Conference Calls: Very often, David will hold a conference call with an expert in the writing or publishing fields. These experts are often bestselling authors like Brandon Sanderson and Dan Wells who are also members of Apex themselves! Meeting calls are conducted over Zoom and are recorded and saved all Apex members to access whenever they want – including 400+ hours of private Mastermind, Strategy and Accelerator calls! 
• Discord Group: Discord is a great app for large communities to get together to discuss and share ideas. The Apex group is growing rapidly and we’d love to see you over there!
• Upcoming Events: Here is a link to all the upcoming events such as strategy meetings and conference calls.

The most important part of the whole process, of course, is to WRITE!

Whether you’re a hobbyist or a pro, none of the services available to members would be any good without setting aside time for writing. Every. Day. That’s how you get better! Then, we highly recommend you find a critique group on Apex to get feedback on your manuscript. Just remember to follow the rules!
